I got Xenoblade Chronicles 2 when it came out but there was way too much in the way of scantily clad fan service for me to stomach so I sold it.
Last month I picked up a cheap used copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for $8 and started the game just to see if I'd enjoy it.
After a few hours in I stopped playing the game on 3DS and bought a copy of the Switch version.
I have to say, the game's amazing. One of the great RPGs.
It's a lot like playing single player in World of Warcraft but allows you to combo and more finely control your other party members.
Plus, the story and voice acting is top notch.
I highly recommend this game, just be sure to watch some YouTube tutorials on the combat system to get the most of it.

But 39$ for a port of a game that came out 11 years ago isn't really a steal.
Certainly a game I'd encourage anyone to play though

I'm pretty sure s/he knows that. The sentiment is that this isn't a brand new game, so the price shouldn't be so high. Given that it's only a port with graphics improvement.

You're thinking XC2. This XC1 Switch port is under a year old.
