If you absolutely need a phone now with half decent specs, this is it. Otherwise this would only be a luke warm deal for <$99. The moto g power regularly goes to $179.

Looking for a moto phone to add a relative onto our Xfinity Mobile plan. It's for an elderly lady who's comfortable with android. She does like to take pics and wants something with an decent camera. What Moto's have decent camera's these days? Or some other phone that's decently priced?

Thanks,

-Guru

Would love to replace my wife's old phone (Moto E4) with a moto g power (4/64) but it's $220 on Amazon at the moment unless I'm looking at the wrong listing.

Yeah, it recently went up due to the massive orders from the $100 rebate deal from total wireless. I'd expect it to drop soon. Personally I think this would be a much better phone that this g fast. It's basically a g power. https://www.oneplus.com/oneplus-n100

Yes, that OnePlus would be a good phone if it would work properly with sprint. Only says it works with Tmobile, Verizon and AT&T. Where I live, the Sprint towers seem to offer better coverage than their pink partner.

They just don't list sprint because it's basically dead. The phone supports LTE-FDD: B1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,13,17,20,25,26,28,66,71
LTE-TDD: B38,41
WCDMA: B1,2,4,5,8
CDMA: BC0,BC1,BC10
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900

Sprint uses 25/26/41 and BC1/BC10. So this phone looks to be 100% compatible.

Buy a consumer cellular one from Target for $150 and get it buy an unlock code from ebay. Did that with my wife's phone and it works great.

You can search older threads about the Target Moto G Power and how to unlock

Most Motos have ok but not great cameras. Moto G Stylus comes to mind when it comes to cameras but unsure of price and should load Google camera apk designed for the phone. I have one as a backup and it takes decent pictures. You're a couple weeks too late to get in on the Tracfone Amazon deal that got it down to $100.

I tried this and there are some problems with this approach.
* You get updates from consumer cellular channel and at the time it was substantially behind the retail channel.
* It is a different model number and it isn't supported by the carriers the same way. You can't activate it on verizon or any of the verizon mvno's but it does work with a sim activated elsewhere. You also can't get wifi calling on any AT&T networks with it.

If this is the phone you want, I personally think you are better off waiting until it goes on-sale and getting the unlocked version.

+1 Keep having to delete apps. I wish they'd bring back the extend to SD option in droid.
