i love incase bags and use bunch of different stuff from them but i cant help but laugh at their original price for this one. looks like $35 is where it should be normally. other than its clever little protective sleeve inside for your laptop, nothing else about it stands out. seems small, minimal storage compartments, design ok i guess and no outside pockets for water.
Regular price is 36.99, so savings of $2
Incase currently has it listed for $149.95, in case (no pun intended) you're referring to Adorama getting cute with the pricing.

Edit: Pulled the trigger. I can provide a follow-up on quality on 1/22

Their 'Reform' lineup made with something recycled materials is a bit different than standard models. They don't feel as good as traditional Incase products have been.

Nice looking backpack. Does not appear to have convenient side pockets for water bottle.

Don't the Lowpro Ridgeline seems alot better deal for the size and compartment for organizing ? Similar prices and Ridgeline seems to have good reviews

Yes for most, unless someone prefer a much simplified look/feeling. Incase fits to MacBook better impo.

I recently bought a shell/case for my MacBook. I saw Incase ones sold on Apple online store and assumed it must be good quality. Still the lack of reviews on Apple's online store made me look elsewhere just for reviews. I found the reviews on Amazon and they're not good; many complaints about chips and cracks within a month. Yet their shell/case retails for 3x as much as other similar plastic shells/cases. So what's the deal with this company? Are they affiliated with Apple? Why are people paying so much more for this brand if quality is no better?

Nothing special for $35, there are bunch of backpacks in this price range of better quality and form factor. For example Speck Business backpack that often go on sale for 29.99 is much much better.

Incase has it listed at $75 on amazon. Who buys incase for retail price, you can get their stuff for less even directly.

Minimal bags can go for hundreds of dollars. Hype takes some products quite far into the land of huge margins. The lack of water bottle pockets on minimal bags bugs me, but the angled zipper pockets on this might hold a water bottle. Not sure if I'm willing to check with no free returns.

Edit: looks like they can hold a water bottle https://youtu.be/BV9LiuSCh8w.
