Been debating getting one of these and this appeared. In store last night was $148, showing $88 now. Picking it up shortly. Not sure if this is location specific but it's a "Special Buy", so could end today.

I took one of those red party cups, cut it in half and froze water in it. I have a quater sitting on top of it so if i loose power it drops down. Need it in general with the area I live with hurricanes, you never know. Simple thing, but helps a lot.

Didn't know I needed this but apparently I do lol.

Added a flashligh to cart, had a $15 off $100 Q that helped sweeten the deal, brought the freezer down to $76.

as there is no mention of it in the description or the user manual, I am guessing that I can't place this in my garage :-(

Too bad, I'll pass

Why you can't put in the garage?

It's cheap enough that you could build an insulated enclosure for it.

Most chest freezers will survive in a garage, as long as you have a way to prevent the compressor from turning on while the ambient temperature is outside of operating range.

A lot of people make this mistake and end up taxing the compressor to the point where it dies, but not before running up a huge energy bill.

I'm assuming there are some.models that advertise garage ready that are more insulated from the room temp. So it's better for the garage so in winter/summer it wouldn't work as hard
