Thanks to Sr. Deal Editor iconian for finding this deal.
It's nice to see more and more solid automatics in the 300 range.
This one has a good movement and I like the styling. Be aware that the rose gold pvd will wear off with regular use. I don't like the resulting speckled look, but it might be fine for some.
This is a very good deal for a beautiful watch.
Something to add is that the powermatic 80 comes in 2 or more variations which the model 80.111 (this model) uses plastic parts and seems to be not serviceable/ not worth the effort. Not a deal breaker at all since it will run 5-10 years without even servicing. Just a note that this is not a forever watch.
I was looking for the older version of the PRS 516 on eBay which has the old 2824 movement in it which is of higher quality but decided to go with a used Oris - they are very affordable on eBay
Right now, but used (not everyone's cup of tea).
Never particularly liked Tissots but this is a really nice "everyday" kinda watch, acceptable price range too, I highly doubt anybody would pay what they claim to be the original $895 MSRP.

When the PVD is just on the bezel like this and you are moderately careful it shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for sharing that. I think the leather band is nice and worths the diffenrent, depend on what you like more . They are different model and have different dial texture. I would go for the one with leather strap, IMO.

I have a different Powermatic 80 and had to send it back multiple times with them eventually replacing the moment before it kept time properly. The 80hr power reserve seems optimistic as well.
Don't think they are the same. This one is self winding, Nordstrom is quartz right? Wish they little bigger. 42 is too small for male wrist, don't you think?

They seem to be the same. Photo of the case back shows a mechanical movement, not quartz.
If anything, I'd say 42mm is normal/big/too big for most men.
IMO people should wear whatever they like.
