Bought this unit at the end of 2020 after finding it at this price in aisle. The internal instructions actually quote it as supporting up to 65" TVs, so the 60" reference is likely just a mistake on item's web page.

For what it's worth, my new 65" TV fits perfectly & I had calculated that I could have squeezed a 75" tv on there with an inch on either side of the feet. So if you're in the market & like it, don't let the 60" number scare you.

Correct, it's compressed wood; however, looks very since with my grey furniture.
