Pre order sale (Available 1/26/21): scroll down to "Game and DLC Bundle" section of the page. This includes two paid dlc ($5 each separately) + free dlc + base game ($25 separately)
Pretty good deal if you were waiting to purchase this game on sale.
Good game but a little over-hyped in my opinion. I had more fun with the combat in Hollow Knight and Hades. Story is barely even there unlike both of those too. It does a good job of making you feel very powerful and yet very fragile at the same time, which is kind of the standard formula of these Soulsbourn-esque games.
It also claims to be a procedurally generated Metroidvania but the "Metroidvania" aspect of it is a very loose description. You never backtrack. You do technically receive upgrades that allow you to travel to different areas but it always feels like that mechanic is more of a purposeful hindrance to pad out the playtime because once you've acquired all of those upgrades (it only takes a few runs if you're experienced enough with the genre) then you completely forget that was even a mechanic.
And none of your attacks ever feel like they are more or less effective than other attacks. In Hollow Knight, certain enemies can only be killed with certain attacks, but in Dead Cells any attack will do for the most part so it just becomes a test of how well your hit-and-dodge skills are and combat becomes a bit stale after a few hours.
I don't know if I would say 33% is a good enough discount to recommend picking this up. I'd personally wait until it was below $15 for the bundle.
Still showing 19.99 for me. The base game is 24.99 but if you scroll to the bottom of the linked page the bundle is showing the price OP mentioned. Seems like a good deal to me!
Might need to buy this after Hades. That game was incredible.
got a lot of eShop credits from those gc deals too.
Loved both of those games, probably my two favorites to play on Switch. Would slam this deal if you're interested; I already own the base game and first DLC.

I have slammed based on your recommendation. Thanks bud!
only negative about Hades is that I wanted more and they have no plans to add content, which I totally and completely understand. it's an absolute gem exactly how it is.
It's 33% because one of the DLC is free if you look closely.
No, there are two DLCs included that are $5 each when bought separately. However as the OG already replied two posts prior, this bundle will be regularly priced at $30.

I love this game, still a lot of 'completion' left but beatin the astrolab a few times, glad they are adding new content still!!!

Easy top 20 but best is hyperbole. Five years is a long time.
