McDonalds is offering Throwback Thursday Deals via McDonalds App (Android or iOS) with $1 minimum purchase each Thursday through February 18, 2021.

  • Deal for Thursday, February 18, 2021: Cheeseburger for $0.25 (minimum $1 purchase required)
Note, limit 1 per customer.

Deal Instructions:
  1. Open McDonald's App (Android or iOS)
  2. Offer will be at Top of App, "Rewind to $.25 Cheeseburger"
  3. Select "Get Deal"
  4. On "Deals" page, open offer and Select "Add to Mobile Order" or "Use at Restaurant" (steps below for Mobile Orders)
  5. Select "Use Deal" when you are ready
  6. Confirm Details and Add to Order
  7. Add another item of at least $1 to your order
  8. Select Choose Payment Option to proceed with checkout
  9. Select Place Order

This sort of reminds me of 29 cent hamburgers and 39 cent cheeseburgers on Tuesdays and Thursdays back in the 90's. Good times.

There was some question a few years ago about whether EULA with the app allowed allowed McDonald's to listen to what it's users were doing. It was questioned in the UK, and the company's answer was that it doesn't do that in "this country."

I remember those... I hated cheese, so on 39cent cheeseburger day would order cheeseburger minus cheese.

Whether the machine is "broken" isn't determined by the $15/hr employee, it's decided by the manager or franchisee. It is obvious some people never had to work minimum wage customer facing jobs.

I used to love McD's. I have a pretty healthy diet and dont eat McDs much anymore. Maybe on long road trips. The last time I bought shakes: 1) It didnt settle in my stomach and I regurgitated a little back up . 2) My daugher vomited strawberry shake all over the Honda Odyseey and it smelled like strawberry vomit for many weeks afterwards.
