I ordered one. I saw a review and it has an extra octagonal restrictor plate hidden inside the unit. That is what many prefer in certain games. So you get the one that is on the stick already which I believe is the square restrictor + the extra one. It also can be used by plugging in USB-C instead of wireless, works on PC too. Comes with customized art to replace the red or you can print your own.. Seems good.
This is normally $130, though at that price I'm not sure I'd recommend it over the $150 HORI and $90 8Bitdo sticks (I've never used the Mayflash sticks so I can't compare there), but for $65 I grabbed one for the occasional Switch arcade/fighting games since I have better/more expensive sticks for my PC/PS4. This can be used wired or wireless (30 hours, 2 AAs) and it comes with an additional artwork or you can create your own with the official template and swap it out easily. According to a few video reviews I've watched it has a square gate installed and an octagonal gate is included inside the bottom so you can swap them if you want.

Looks like a great deal. The past few months I've been getting into arcade sticks after never having much interest in them and assuming the stick and buttons are up to snuff this checks a lot of boxes. The bluetooth option, USB-C, and even the clear plastic top if you're the type of person who likes to customize your controllers.

There are really only two reasons I might suggest the 8-bitdo fight stick over this one and I'm not sure they're worth the $15 difference in price. The first being the 2.4ghz wireless option instead of just bluetooth, I doubt that's a big deal for the vast majority of people but I have one TV with a metal and glass stand that just chews up bluetooth signals and 2.4ghz seems to fare better. The second thing is the right stick/d-pad/left-stick switch on the 8-bit do is a dial and from experience with other arcade sticks with similar 3-position toggles they get loose after a while and it gets a little more difficult to hit the middle option after a while. But that's a pretty minor quibble.

Not sure how easy this is to customize or anything, but at $65 I don't think there's anything else out there that competes with it in terms of value and features.

Seems like a decent stick for the price. I'll give it a try for some shmups on my switch.

I tried looking up the answer to this and came up short. It seems really silly for PowerA to make a fight stick that only works with one console though. Granted, the arcade stick community doesn't really seem to have picked up on this at all. All the reviews I found were free product reviews and only tested it with Switch games.

Most arcade sticks have a range of output options, usually X-input, D-input and the console it was designed for. I didn't see any evidence that this stick has a toggle for that. Maybe it's handled automatically through firmware? Like it defaults to X-input unless it detects it's connected to a Switch? I'm kind of hoping so.

Hopefully someone who's actually been hands on with this can provide more details, because at this price I'm starting to talk myself into one and being able to use it with a PC or RPi is a key feature for me too.

Yeah, can some with personal experience answer that - or even how this compares to the Mayflash Arcade Stick F101?

Note: I see that the Mayflash F101 only comes with a square gate but you can swap out with octo-gate easily, per the reviews.

You may want to look at the new stick from 8Bitdo. Advertises RPi compatibility right on the box.

It's pretty modifiable, but It would be an extra 35-40$ for Sanwa parts. So the 8bitdo is better IMO.The buttons on this stick is fine though. Get this if you're feeling cheap but it'll do the job. But if you got more cash, go for the Mayflash because it's universal, plus it has Turbo for noobs.

just replace the joystick with a real sanwa, easier than converting madcatz with 8 bitdo gut.
