Hmmm ... looks like it would be great for creating some new geocaches!

The stuff I would put in here are pretty expensive at the moment.

I don't recommend plastic ones. They don't hold up to much weight.

Metal ones are much better.

Nope. It's lowest I've seen in 36 years
All I know is that I almost ordered 6 before Christmas at this price but ended up getting the similar ones with coupon at Harbor Freight for $3.49 each.

Even with my wifes Walmart employee discount, the Harbor Freight that were similar in construction were .36 cents cheaper.

False. I've got tons of plastic ammo cans filled to the brim and they've all held up great even with moving them around everywhere.

I wouldn't consider these water tight when filled up with much weight. They do flex while picking up filled. Not that I would trust all of the used surplus metal cans either for being water proof.

To be honest, I wouldn't count on an brand new empty plastic one being water tight.

If you have to use them with much weight, remember do not lift them using the handle on the lid. Because the hinge mechanism and the lid is rather weak.

Lift them using their bottom instead.
