Link for reference only. B&M only, Autozone web guys couldn't find it when I called but it was sitting on the shelf at the local store. Appears to be their regular price, not sure why they're $100 cheaper than any other seller. Maybe even cheaper with a coupon.

Boss Audio BE10ACP Digital Multimedia Receiver with (wired) Android Auto and CarPlay, 10.1" capacitive touchscreen, rear and front camera inputs, USB charging, removable and adjustable screen, external mic, etc.

Yeah, I know, Boss audio isn't known for high quality but for $250 out the door at your local Autozone, you're getting a LOT of bang for not much buck. I looked around and the closest big name that compares feature to feature is an Alpine unit that is $999. I've had it in my car for a few days and I'm very happy with it. So much so that I bought a second one for my wife's car. When I bought the second one, I mentioned that I was trying to buy it online as there was a discount available but it shows as in store only. The guy at the store gave me a 10% discount. YMMV.
Waiting on the install kit to be delivered so I can install hers. Single DIN so if you have double din like our cars, you'll need a kit with some kind of space filler. Crutchfield said it doesn't "fit" my car as but it went in using the same single DIN kit I got from them for the JVC (No screen or carplay and the Bluetooth was going out) I replaced with this one.
Crutchfield, Amazon, etc. all have this unit for $329. Good reviews at that price. For $100 less than that I imagine the reviews would be even better.
Unit comes with 3 year warranty from Boss. Autozone also gives a 1 year in store repair/replacement warranty with this unit. Details on your receipt.

I would swing by auto zone and see if they could print you out a receipt of some sort. If you have issues with it in say a year and a half, you would be SOL since autozone's return policy is one year. Sooner is probably better since they may get rid of them in their system after so long. Yeah, I don't have any faith in their CS at Boss and will probably just tell me to try redundant things that I've already tried. Like I said, it typically only happens when I've been driving for a while. For instance, I've driven a few times now back and forth to work (which is less than an hour) and it's been rock solid so far. What's the longest you've had it up and running with the GPS and music going?
Regularly using it 1-2 hours with no disconnects, but carplay only. I did ask if they could print a receipt at autozone, he said not possible, but did let me take a picture of his system that showed my name, radio, purchase date, etc. So hopefully that will be useful if it dies again.

Still using the radio? My replacement has been working fine. I did notice Boss took down the firmware that never worked on the website, but the same audio-bricking one seems to be up. I never did here back from Boss about options to replace my bricked one under warranty. Just happy it all worked out with the Autozone replacement. The most recent amazon review seems questionable, not sure exactly what their problem is. Quoting it below..

"Boss is intentionally selling radios that do not work with Android Auto or Apple Carplay. All phones with updates for both apple and Android are bricked from working on there radios. The company has no intentions on fixing the issue. Yet they are still selling the products. It has been months since my radio worked with apple car play or Android auto. They also admitted that updating the radios firmware only creates more issues. I wish I could make this up. As decent of a design as this radio is it is a brick. Do not buy it. If you don't believe me contact the support number and ask them yourself."

Sorry, never noticed that you replied to me again, but just came back here to see if anyone else has had any issues with theirs. Been using mine steady since early last year but now it's playing games. About half the time I start the car the screen is blank and nothing works. It has power because the buttons along the bottom (or whatever you want to call them) are illuminated. Sometimes cycling power (turning vehicle off then back on again) will get the radio to work but most of the time that doesn't do anything. Guess we know how long Boss radios last now LOL. Granted, I drive way more than most other people do so others should get quite a bit more use out of theirs than I did but this is definitely a sign of cheap electronics. Will certainly go higher end next time like Pioneer or Sony. And didn't this have a 2 year warranty with it (thought I remember somebody mentioning that here)? If that's the case, we'll see how that goes. I'm sure they'll give me the runaround. Seriously doubt that autozone would take it back.

Just wanted to chime in on this topic while I'm thinking about it. Just as I suspected previously, it seems to be a power issue (or lack thereof) because I noticed that if I turned wifi off on my phone (so it draws a little less power) then the disconnects were much less frequent. It's quiet possible that iphones are a bit less power hungry than androids, but did notice that this is pretty much a thing researching reviews of other cheap carplay/AA head units that they disconnect frequently (even with iphones).

No worries. I noticed they've taken down all the firmware updates now. I haven't bothered trying to contact support. I've given up on a brightness fix.

Sorry you're having trouble with yours. Have you tried reseating the screen and other connectors, and double checked your power/ground connections? You might try Autozone, looks like they still carry them. The original post said they had 1 year replacement, but I might remember 2 years? Do you have your receipt? You could also try Boss directly, it said 3 year warranty, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

A few months ago I got a Carlinkit 3.0 and it's worked pretty flawlessly with the Boss. Daily driver, and multi hour trips with no major bugs or disconnections. One thing I noticed is I can now scroll maps with my finger instead of the arrow keys, and scroll playlists smoothly. That's a surprisingly nice improvement.

Earlier this year my toddler pulled on the screen and broke the latches that hold it in. I had to disassemble the mechanism and repair it with super glue. Do not recommend. I really dislike the entire screen attachment design.

Good luck!
