I guess I should have noted age. My kids are old enough to get in and out on their own, At this point I can't estimate how many balls are in it, but it is between 1/3 and 1/2 filled up. It only turns troubling when kids throw them all out. Then it turns from fun for kids to nightmare for adults picking up.

Different price point, but if you want a ball pit, this is a good route. I have played in there with my kids watching movies.
