What's wrong with a cheap cable? With digital (HDMI) either it works or it doesn't. You don't get more or less bass or better picture etc. it's sending a digital signal.

Nothing wrong with cheap cables at all. I'm just saying since 2.1 is fairly new, it's not always a good idea to go for the cheapest just yet. There are a lot of fake ones going around.. I would at suggest doing research, obviously not going for the most expensive but with a reputable brand and reasonable price.

Also sure you may ask who cares if it's unauthentic if it works? Well yeah it might still work for the current 4K content, but most people won't actually find out until it comes time to play 120hz 4K or even 8k content..

When that time comes, the good cables for that bandwidth hungry content will be as cheap as this one. Or there will be a newer/better standard.
