any idea where to get a 5900? or 3080? I have the board. just can't find the main two components
Sadly nowhere until at least May I think. If gpu shortages due to covid weren't already enough now's we have Trump's tariff back in effect, AIBs working on mining specific cards instead, and Nvidia with the negative IQ of producing GT 1030s and more 2060s instead of already limited 30 series.

the tariff should actually help with supply, as demand will go down. the issue is whether the AIB's will lower the prices once the tariff issue is resolved, if ever.

To my knowledge B550 was designed as a lower cost option to X570. Support for Zen 3 CPUs but lacking compatibility with older Ryzen chips along with some other higher end features.
Did you even look at the specs of the motherboard before typing out that response? Of course the B550 chipset has PCIe 4.0
He isn't wrong..
The X570 provides additional PCIe 4.0 channels, while the B550 only provided PCIe 3.0 channels.
The only PCIe 4.0 channels on a B550 based motherboard are hosted by the CPU itself.
So on a B550 you will be limited to 10 additional PCIe 3 channels, while a X570 will provide an additional 16 PCIe 4 channels.
