I'm not saying its a bad deal based on NVME prices. It is just hard to warrant dropping $400 on storage unless you really need to edit video or something that would warrant the expense. If you are building a computer you should be putting $100 into the NVME and the other $300 into more essential components like graphics. If you just need extra storage for media, buy a 4TB HDD for $100 and call it a day. For the right use case this is worth it, but few people are working with files big enough to need this expensive of NVME storage.
Just because a technology isn't priced where you think it should be does not determine if it is a deal. 4TB m.2 drives usually start at $500. This one has solid specs and is $100 less than any 4TB m.2 I see on Newegg or Amazon. The price is right and it seems to be ADATA's own eBay store. If I were in the market for one, I wouldn't hesitate.
Edit: not sure why my reply to amax disappeared. 🤔
Really? I just looked and this was the cheapest 4TB I could find for these specs. And it looks about right 1TB right now is $100 so 4TB @ $400 sounds pretty normal?

I like having a 1TB to run games and windows on, but this is crazy expensive for extra storage. I'll stick with the non RGB 4TB HDD. If you need to edit 4K video and like rainbows this could be the NVME for you.

while it's nice to see a 4tb ssd at $100/tb
i'd rather wait till the 2tb get much cheaper
since i consider that the ideal size as a
gaming partition. (i use a 0.5tb one now)
for other stuff, i find pulled drives on ebay
under $50 shipped per 4tb 3.5" 7200rpm hdd.
i've accumulated half a dozen of them by now
to populate my 10 drive jbod.
cuz it is marketed to bling-blingers. I would so much rather see efficient heat dissipation that uses no extra power for idiotism no sane person would be willingly observing
