Comes pre-oiled you need to generally oil it once every two months or after every basket if you shred a lot. You can use mineral oil, canola oil, and some other ones. The official Fellowes shredder oil is 99% canola oil. Microcut shredders should be oiled more often.
They make the cut. Wink
You can get the spray canola oil and spray both sides if a piece of paper. Run that through the shredder and it's oiled

Great price! I paid 65 for the 8 sheet microcut on Amazon (normal price)about a month ago. now to decide if it's worth return and buy here or maybe upgrade to 10 sheet.

Fellowes Shredders are the best in class, they last a long time if you dont overload and oil them periodically. Great price...In for one micro cut one. Thanks OP!

Pricing aside, which one will be the best value? Would it be the most expensive one? Looking for something durable and just gets the job done, nothing fancy. Shredding mail, paper etc..

Don't skimp out. Spend the extra money on a high security shredder. ($20 more)

I still have my Fellowes micro cut shredder I got on clearance from Staples 12+ years ago and it was the best $50 I've ever spent.

The unit still works as if it was brand new and has never failed on me.

Highly recommend the micro cuts. They will last a LONG time

What would you recommend for $50 that would last 10+ years? How do you tell when looking at product description or reviews if they're durable and strong.

OMG, you wouldnt believe have careless people are with confidential papers. at least tear it up a couple of times and dont just throw the whole paper in the trash. when you put your trash out at the street its fair game for anyone to take.

Anyone has this ?

https://www.target.com/p/fellowes...A-51695008

It says it has the wastebasket but doesn't look like you can pull it out without lifting the shredder unit like this one
