Microsoft has recently announced that the price of Xbox Live Gold is going up. The $60 1 year membership will now be $60 for a 6 month membership. If you are subscribed at the current rate they will honor a renew at your old price.

Retailers are now carrying the new $60 6 month cards. You can get ahead by stocking up on the old cards at their original price points being the price hike. This will make the gamepass trick more expensive too at the new price points, so now is the time.

What is the conversion for these prepaid cards if you already have Gamepass?

Tempted to buy the 2 year at $95 to add to my existing gamepass sub.

Fortunately my subscription is just under a year now so i can add the two year costco deal (you can only stack 3 years) and forget about this nonsense until 2024. This is obviously a push to force people into gamepass and i do not want gamepass.

I can't get the costco 2 year to work. The order keeps getting cancelled. Frown. Tried from two different costco accounts/cards.

They may be in the process of shutting it down or updating the price. I managed to order at 10:36am PST and got an order confirmation. I'll come back and update as to whether I get the code or not.

Edit: Got the code and it redeemed without issue thankfully

So I already have the 3 month trial. That means I have to create another account, add the 12 month + then convert to ultimate or could I extend the ultimate with the 1 year xbox live subscription?
