Microsoft has recently announced that the price of Xbox Live Gold is going up. The $60 1 year membership will now be $60 for a 6 month membership. If you are subscribed at the current rate they will honor a renew at your old price.
Retailers are now carrying the new $60 6 month cards. You can get ahead by stocking up on the old cards at their original price points being the price hike. This will make the gamepass trick more expensive too at the new price points, so now is the time.
I've provided a few good prices below. Take advantage while you can.
Costco: 2 years for $95.00

I havent paid for Game Pass Ultimate in years. It takes me about 2 minutes every day and I earn more than enough points to keep GPU going month after month.

Its pretty bad. I bought a 2 year Gold from Costco and they wanted to convert it to 8 months of ultimate.
Is there a way if i have 1.5-2yesrs left on my GPU upgrade to extend it out to the three year max cheaply? Meaning, is there a trick to get the most out of extending GPU when adding a new Xbox live card?

Q:
With Xbox Game Pas Ultimate, can I still redeem codes for Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass, and EA Play?
A:
Yes. These codes will automatically convert to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio based on the following table. Conversion ratio subject to change.
Token says…You get…1 month of Gold = 20 days of Ultimate
3 months of Gold = 50 days of Ultimate (1+ month)
6 months of Gold = 79 days of Ultimate (2+ months)
12 months of Gold = 4 months of Ultimate
24 months of Gold = 8 months of Ultimate
1 month of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games) = 20 days of Ultimate
3 months of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games) = 2 months of Ultimate
6 months of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games) = 4 months of Ultimate
12 months of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games) = 5 months of Ultimate
24 months of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games) = 10 months of Ultimate
1 month of Xbox Game Pass PC Games = 20 days of Ultimate
1 month of EA Play = 10 days of Ultimate
3 months of EA Play = 1 month of Ultimate
6 months of EA Play = 2 months of Ultimate
12 months of EA Play = 4 months of Ultimate

You might be better off waiting for sales on 3 month GPU codes.
