I stopped buying from Newegg once they became a horrible and greedy company when they started charging their unfair and unwelcome "RESTOCKING FEE".
They lost me as a customer for life.
that's too bad to hear about newegg...I haven't purchased anything large in awhile. I use to buy from them in the 2000s thru early 2010s. Last big purchase I made from newegg was 10 years ago for a Canon s95 compact premium camera for $300. I liked newegg since they never charged sales tax for me in the past.

this laptop has good reviews and may be worth it for those who cannot wait 3-6 months. And for a 17'3" it might be an ok lukewarm deal for RTX2060 for $1000ish---as long as you don't compare this to old long gone deals from 1-2 months ago.
(For those waiting for newer laptops, a 17.3" RTX 3060 may cost around $1300+ in comparison when they are available 3 to 6 months from now. Though, there may be other 15.6" laptop deals costing less; 17.3" will usually cost atleast $1200 for something like this.)

I used to buy from Newegg a lot when they were a good and decent online vendor.
Then they must have had new and greedy management change and started behaving very unfriendly and initiated the much hated "RESTOCKING FEE".
That is when I completely stopped buying anything from this despicable dealer.
The sales tax is not Newegg's fault, it is now the crummy and unfair law to charge tax all across the Internet. All dealers now charge sales tax.....yuck... I hate it too.
I recently returned a monitor that was in perfect working order to Newegg and had no issues with getting a full refund. When in doubt, just err on the side of not being completely honest about the reason for the return, just my $0.02.
