I have the Gateway and it's a great deal when on sale. With that this Lenovo has a better screen but a LOWER refresh rate (which matters for gaming), 4GB more memory and 250GB larger SSD. The different CPU installed gives the Gateway a slight bump but they are pretty close. On the Gateway, I installed an extra 8GB of ram to bump it up to 16GB for $35 and installed (2) 500GB NVME SSD in it for $110. On the Lenovo I probably wouldn't touch the ram but I would probably throw another 500GB NVME SSD into it if there is a slot available. With that being the case, the Lenovo wouldn't need as much money for upgrades at least for my use. The screen discrepancy is probably the deciding factor as the Gateway refresh rate will be better for high end gaming. HTH

Is this worth it? Or wait until the Gateway 2060 goes back on sale?

This Lenovo has a 60hz screen while the gateway has a 120hz. It all depends what you're using it for. If you're passing FPS games then get the gateway. If not then I'd get this instead

This seems perfect, except the 1.5hr battery life. Hmm. I wish it had a cpu with integrated graphics to get better battery life in the situations not needing the 2060.

It does? The website lists this as the H version and not the HF?

I see that this comes with a PCIe SSD - I already own a 1TB 2.5 SATA ssd....any chance this would have space for me to add that in as well for additional space? (and for that matter if anyone knows, do laptops today typically allow for both?)

Oh. Maybe I'm wrong. I've just heard reports that it gets a little over an hour worth of battery life.

Apply coupon code: NEWYEARGAMING to get $400 discount

Seemed like a good deal to me so thought I'd post here for anyone else interested.

Wow has there been a 2060 laptop cheaper than this? Clearing inventory for the 3000 series?

I typically advise that you refer to the manual if the specs don't clearly specify.

https://download.lenovo.com/consu...201904.pdf

Page 35 in the above document shows how to remove a SATA SSD from this system. So yes, it does support one.

Makes me feel like there are going to be some really sick deals soon.

I recently purchased a used MSI Modern and it's really sweet for $400. It's actually what I would like, weight-wise, etc. but which models like this also have a 1660Ti+? And would that get really loud and hot? Is it going to cost an arm and a leg?
