Not worth it. I got it a couple years back for 99, and it isn't worth that. It is a very disappointing vacuum. I have a 15.6v black and decker hand vacuum i bought for $40 and it has so much more suction. I added the cyclone going that would help, but it doesn't. I'm a makita fan, but this is the first of their products that has let me down.

I assume you have the non brushless version if you paid 99 a few years back? My wife uses it all the time on hard floors instead of dragging out the central vac. I'm not very impressed, but have nothing else to compare it to. It works, and I think it's worth it if you have the batteries, since it's always charged. I am curious if the brushless model is much better, it sure is a lot more expensive, even on clearance!!
