Didn't the 11900 just drop and it's 30% faster in single core?
True, but that does not mean real-world gaming performance benchmarks will increase by 30%. In the Hitman 3 benchmark at CES 2021, the performance difference between the i9-10900K and i9-11900K was only 8.6%
I went with a 10850K for that price and I'm happy with it, but I would recommend the 10900K for anyone that wants to seriously overclock. The 10850K is an inferno overclocked and I ended up dialing it back quite a bit. The better silicon in the 10900K is worth it if you want to push the processor.

I am getting i9 10850K. 10 cores. $400
Same here. And it is pretty fantastic. Drops to $389 here and there and probably a better value than 10900, unless you really can use that last ounce of performance.
