If you want a genuine Nintendo brand dock for your Nintendo Switch for a good price (relatively speaking), the refurbished models are BACK IN STOCK!

https://store.nintendo.com/dock-r...witch.html

Comes with the dock only. If you need another AC Power Adapter, it's on sale from Amazon for $26.88 (reg. $29.99)

Personally, I would rather have a genuine Nintendo brand dock and power supply to avoid possible "bricking" from using a third-party dock. I've read articles/whitepapers about the Nintendo Switch's "proprietary" USB-C design, and about the specific power requirements of its chipset, and based on my findings, I would rather not gamble with a third-party dock. I know they're cheaper...but try to resist temptation lol. I know others have used various branded docks with good fortune...and two years later they brick anyway. Ultimately, your Switch; your choice.

Good luck!

There have been multiple cases where consoles were bricked when not using the official dock, at least in the Switch's early days, because of the peculiar way Nintendo has implemented USB-C (if I am not mistaken). For that reason, I wouldn't trust a 3rd party charger either.
But you said something about not using the official charger.
I got the Rocketfish dock from BestBuy and have had no issues. Works great and half the price of the OEM dock with USB-c.

Just going to comment for the charger you added... That's a lot of money, especially when any current phone charger will work at the same rate. Nintendo's output is 15v 2.6A or 5v 1.5A. No issues what so ever.

My switch was bricked. I used many different battery packs (PD charging to cheap ones) and different Usb cords (USB-A-USB-C, USB-C to USB-C). I didn't own an aftermarket dock. Didn't have any problems using this method for about a year. Then suddenly it just wasn't charging. It was detected by my computer, but just not charging until the battery drained out and just wouldn't turn on anymore. From what I researched, I probably fried the computer chip that does the charging. The only fix it to get a new chip and resolder it (you need to be really advanced to do this) or just buy a new one.

Small part of me wonder if it's worth it to just buy a 2nd Switch, like a refurb one from Nintendo for $260. The damn drifty Joycons are $80, plus another $70 for a brick and dock. That puts the device alone at $110 vs $200 for a Switch Lite.

EDIT: We kinda need a 2nd Switch because wife is hogging the device playing ACNH laugh out loud

That's what I did. At first I was looking for a second dock, but they're not selling them new anymore, and I felt that used or refurbished were not worth the asking price (most times not even including the charger and HDMI cable). Then I was looking to buy a refurbished unit from Nintendo but they were all out for months. I ended up buying the MK bundle during the holidays, as this seemed like the best deal.

I bought this twice and both did not work for me. I returned it afraid to try a third time.

Bought this last time it was back in stock. Went onto Amazon and bought the BASSTOP shell casing to 'mini'fy the dock for travel. Love it

Totally worth it if you want an Official dock with a smaller form factor. Peace in mind. After a laptop bricked on me from a 3rd party charger, I'de rather be safe than sorry. And with these going OOS in the near future, I personally appreciated this post saying they were back in stock Smilie.

*The LED is not part of the kit. Take the LED from the original dock, solder some ethernet wiring (OG cables too short), looks awesome. Or just go without the LED.
