Great VPN. They recently released a statement with screenshots from websites that rate VPNs for money, and basically said they are no longer playing that game. That they would rather invest that money in the platform (because some of the sites were complaining that they could not make enough commission based on their sale prices).

Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.

Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.

I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.
Damn that's a lot of international travel.

If this is what you're talking about https://www.vpntierlist.com/vpn-tier-list/ that seems like horrible list.

https://www.safetydetectives.com/...comparison has a better listing of features.
I disagree. I'm the only vpn reviewer who doesn't take sponsorships or pick high commission vpns to shill. I was also the one one to cover how Windscribe leaked ips from the chrome extension for months lul.

Yeah, Europe and Africa lots of business is cross county and everyone is in each other's back yard. You begin to run out of pages in your passport from stamps lol. Haven't been home for this long since college.

Glad I helped this company in '17 with my lifetime sub($38), felt like I was involved in a crowdfunding of sorts. From the reviews here, it appears their confidence in their product has paid off.

They're promising L2TP for years yet they still only offer OpenVPN. Unless you have ddwrt, you still can't set this up in your router.

Not sure how strict they are today but I used one account on two different continent and never got any warning. However, the traffic was relatively low, was only used for streaming TV and browsing.

Some websites started to block their servers as well, Gamestop, Office Depot, Kohls.

stop with the shill bs . . .

who cares about the owner . . . all i care is that the price has been jacked 50% every 2 years . . . that cool guy can suck my dickens
It's still a very good deal compared to their peers in the market.

L2TP is not offered by any serious VPN company. It's insecure.

Get a new router with WireGuard. Smilie OpenVPN is old now too.

Edit: If you just want to stream and don't care about security, look into a SmartDNS solution, they let you bypass geo restrictions without needing a VPN at all. You can change the DNS resolvers in your router and are good-to-go. Smilie

got the lifetime plan a few years ago... been working very well in various location around the world (china, taiwan, japan, California, Nevada , Chicago). one good thing about these guys is that they don't log you off ...like forever... once i left it logged-in on my server and I was still logged in 2 month later. great service. speed is not bad either get about 30-100 depends on location.

They've really raised the price. Not terrible but used to be a steal at like $20
The steal was paying a few bucks extra on top of that $20 back then for lifetime deal and not worrying about price increase later down road LMAO Now all the 3yr subs are expiring and looking at this price and are complaining.

When making my payment, I found that switching from Credit Card to PayPal dropped the sales tax on StackSocial. That saved me an extra 8%.
