This looks identical to the KMC posted earlier:

https://slickdeals.net/e/14639833-smart-plug-kmc-4-outlet-energy-monitoring-wifi-outlet-2-pack-on-amazon-19

So $10 per 'plug'.
These take up a full outlet (although it plugs into one outlet, it blocks the other outlet). But in return you get 3 'smart'/controllable outlets and 1 always on outlet.
The energy monitoring is for the 3 smart outlets combined, and the always on is not monitored.
Most likely these are no longer flashable using tuya-convert, but they're easy to open up and solder wires to, if you really want to flash tasmota.

Shipping is free with W+ or orders $35+.

These are pretty great and extremely easy to flash with taamota. Turns into $3.33 per smart outet, works for me.

Bought 2 of the kmc. They work as advertised. Use one for computer peripherals and one for my power tool chargers.

I tasmotized mine and since my house is older extra outlets are always nice to have. Commands are nearly instant. The switches are extremely loud, though.

Very few of the current IoT devices work on 5GHz.
Besides, for IoT, you could argue that range is more important than bandwidth/speed, so it would only make sense to (at least) support 2.4 GHz.
But I'm sure as newer chips/SoCs are developed, they'll also support 5GHz, as that band is less crowded than 2.4GHz.

Great deal. Kudos for the tasmota (yes!) and likely no more OTA/tuya-convert (noes!!) info.

Just about every one of these type of devices are that way. But most routers have a 2.4GHz antennae. You just have to make sure it goes to it. If your router doesn't have separate wi-fi connections, it may have a way to temporarily disable 5GHz while you set up the device. That's what I have to do with my Eero router. It actually has a setting for that. It just disables it for a few minutes then turns it back on.

I have the kmc one, I was using it for my Fish tank, to turn the light off after certain time, turn off filter during feeding for like 5mins etc. The problem I have is, if I turn off the light and filter one after the other, somehow the 3rd one either turns off or turns on (based on previous state) as if something interferes with the signal from the first two connected sockets. I tried swapping to different loads to test, connected my fan and two table lamps, same experience. Another issue I have is, it does not remember it's last state. Sometimes my wife unplugs this for vacuum, then plugs it back in. It will remain off. Will only turn on, if I go back into the app.

Yes. You can control them individually or all at once. Both are possible. It works with the app as well as google home.
