Free Kindle/Kobo eBook: Created, the Destoyer (the first Remo Williams book)

This is the first of over 100 books in the Remo Williams series. Obviously they are hoping you like the first book enough to buy the next 100 at about $3 each. The 80s movie with Fred Ward and Joel Grey (in yellowface) was presumably called Remo Williams: The Adventure Continues Begins because it covers some later book.

I can only vouch for the price, but the movie was fun, and I enjoy pulpy action books like Casca and The Executioner.

When you're on death row, minutes from the electric chair, and a hook-handed monk offers to save your life if you'll just swallow a simple little pill... what've you got to lose? You take the pill. Then you wake up, officially "dead," in the back of an ambulance, headed for an undisclosed location. Welcome to your new life, working for CURE, the most secret, most deniable, most extra-judicial government agency ever to exist. Only the President knows about it, and even he doesn't control it.

Thanks,OP. I read a bunch of these way back when I found them cheap in used bookstores. Probably gave up somewhere around book 45 or so. I always liked this series better than the Executioner since it had more humor go go with the mayhem

Over 700 reviews on title, quite positive. Thanks for sharing OP.
For those who have read, is it pretty self contained or is this a teaser/cliffhanger we will have to buy more to get resolved

Each story is self-contained. I read them as they came out as a young man and enjoyed the series. I was hoping the movie would have sequels but it didn't do well. Now I am waiting for a Jack Reacher without Tom Cruise.

I don't remember the movie very well but I do recall enjoying it a lot. I'm in for free, maybe I'll read all 💯

Back in the day, I read many of these. Not sure where I stopped, but past the 50th. I later bought the 100th book out of nostalgia. They're great check-your-brain-at-the-door page turners. Entertaining, and reasonably well-written for what they are. Don't expect deep philosophical epiphanies, just a rockin' good time.

Free is a flippin' steal.

Movie Industry: Please quit ruining otherwise cool ideas with Tom Cruise. He is especially inappropriate for people and vampires that are supposed to be 6'5".
