Although this often goes on sale for this price using AT&T or T-Mobile system, it rarely sells for this price as a Verizon MVNO.

This had been selling for $169 for the past many months, even when the other carriers were going for $99.

Sold by Tracfone

Included every 30 days for 360 days:
Preloaded SIM Card (Activation Required to get Service)
Unlimited Talk
Unlimited Text
1GB LTE Data

Those two deals aren't even similar. The $20 deal was amazing for someone with low usage but that deal has 1200 minutes and 1200 texts per year. This deal has unlimited talk and text. If you are a heavy talk & text user, this deal is much better.

It just depends on your individual usage patterns.
That's like comparing apples to oranges.

That deal is for 3gb and 1200 minutes and texts for an entire year.

That is not enough for any regular cell phone user.

This deal is unlimited talk and text, and 1gb fast speed per month. That's 12gb for the year. Perfect for talk and picture texting.

And btw, it seems like they let you go over the gb too. I have this on a phone which is currently at 1.86gb this month. They let it go over for some reason.

Maybe you should do some research before commenting and downvoting. This deal is extremely rare.

RedPocket, which I don't like, used to have a similar deal. But now they cut it down to 1000 minutes per month.

Bought this service, after seeing it here and thought I'd give some feedback on setting it up. I'm using an unlocked ZTE phone and ported out a number from Mint Mobile. Service is in the Washington, DC region.

When using Net10Wireless' online tool for porting/transferring your current number, you will need to call your carrier and obtain an account Number and Pin "for porting out your number," which is not the same as what you use to access your account (everything must be numerical and there may be a specific number of digits). I spent 45 minutes on the phone with a Net10 rep. before I noticed that she was having trouble porting in my telephone number because she was using the requested account number and password that I used to access my Mint account. Save yourself the frustration, call your current carrier, ask for an account number and pin to "port out" your current phone number, and try to port it into Net10 yourself via their website.

Also, if you're going from a Mint account, disable auto payment, so that after your porting out/transfer to a new carrier, when your billing cycle ends, they will not charge you another month. I could not find an easy "close" or terminate your account button, but the Mint rep told me that how I did it was a good way to go about it. They will simply terminate the account once they can't obtain payment, and if you haven't transferred your number to another carrier, you'll likely lose it. Note, much differently than Net10, the Mint Mobile CS rep. answered my call within less then 3 minutes, and was knowledgeable and friendly, even though I was terminating service with them.

After entering my own porting in info on the Net10 website (Note, there's no Mint Mobile on the list of carriers you are transferring from, so you will have to select "Other,"), the service took a good 4-5 hours to activate, and this was during a weekday. LASTLY, while I patiently waited for their service to be activated, I wasted my time trying to contact them via their website. Using a laptop, connected to the Net via an ethernet cable, the CS chat feature on their site did not work (wasn't even "hot-linked" or whatever you call it), there was no way to send them an email, and no way to reach a person through their telephone, which looped non-stop, because there was no account associated with my number, because it had not been activated.

SO, if you're the kind of person who likes to ask a lot of questions and/or who needs help with setting up these types of things, I do not recommend using net10, or any of the other four or five companies that use the same Customer Service telephone number. ALSO, their website is extremely lacking and not intuitive at all; it doesn't tell you that only numbers can be used for granting them access for porting in a telephone number, or the number of digits required, or the reason an entry didn't work, or how long the activation process takes, or even if they're in the process of activating your account. I ran the risk of losing a telephone number I've had for 20 years because of Net10's crappy site and poor Customer Service.

The service has worked fine since it was activated, about a week, but the process of transferring a phone number from another carrier was disappointing and worrying; this coming from someone who has sampled different carriers for over 20 years.

I was actually able to activate a line with this plan a little more than 90 days after I purchased it, so it seems the 60 day limit doesn't exist.

This is what they told me from their ebay customer service. Maybe you got lucky but I'm not sure I would recommend taking that chance. If that's their policy you would easily lose the whole plan you paid for

I was okay with activating after 60 days because I had already messaged Tracfone within the 60 day period and received the following response:

Please be advised that the purchased device can be activated at any
time. However, if the ordered item includes a bundled airtime plan, the
airtime plan must be redeemed before a year has passed from the date of
purchase.

How long ago did you ask? Wondering if their policy changed recently
