That one is the E model (see E3 at the end of model number), meaning it is a 2017-18 model. This one is "G" which is 2020. "F" is 2019. The "G" has better picture. For the R6's im not sure how much better. I've been following the R8's and from R7E (R8 didnt exist back then) and R8G, the R8G has significantly better picture. The jump from R7E and R8F was already significant, and the R8G is even better. I'm assuming it applies with the R6s as well. I myself jumped from a R7E to a R8F and I am shocked at how good the R8F looks. It looks better that my family's qled Samsungs.
I'd say no since It's the same HDMI 2.0 and even the same native 60hz refresh (but now clocked to 240hz motion mode), but possibly a bit better quality parts Really I'd keep the $70 and put that towards the next cheap tv in a couple years but hopefully someone with actual experience will chime in.
Oh, Motion Rate... Will you ever not lie to me?

Seems like a solid price. Also noticed that the R8 55" is on sale for $340. Worth the extra cost? https://www.costco.com/hisense-55...74738.html

Ordered this and arrived with damaged screen. Had to haul it to the store to exchange, it was this price then however it has since gone up in store price to $309. For the price it's a great set. This is in the family room for the kids and it performs well for Netflix and PS4 which is about all that it gets used for. I wish the 65" would drop a bit but it's holding still at $399 for a while now

Worth waiting for 65" to drop to $330ish?

Actually the r8 is a better line of tvs from hisense. If you have it in stock I would say it's a bargain for the 70 bucks.

R8F seems to have a motion blur issue due to the very slow respone time. This is why I hesitate to pull the trigger on R8F.

How does this model compare to the 55R6090G? Same model with different # for costco, or is this one better in some way?

REAL 10 BIT Color. the 55R6090G only has 8 bit + FRC, the differences only noticeable when u r Professional Photo editor or something like that.

Check out the R8G reviews from Rtings. Substantial difference from the "F" of same series which is 2019 model. . .

55" is the perfect size tv... for the bathroom.
Too small for my bathroom. I went with the 85" on sale just after Thanksgiving. It fits great in the bathroom. And it gave my wife something else to complain about. Who needs a mirror in the bathroom. Do you really want to see yourself first thing in the morning.
