Home Depot tool "hacks" are only hackable when the tool you are buying and the free tool/battery are separate line items. Home Depot Special-Buy-Of-The-Day deals like this are always single SKU and thus not hackable. Also the SBOTD are online only, you cannot get this deal in the store unless you somehow got a manager to override the register.

User SlickMagic says he was able to "hack" this as he says last year because but I recall that deal and it was an in-store promo and multiple SKUs.

This a way better Rocket Light deal than their last one. That deal only included one 4.0 ah battery! Thanks!

Awesome deal, I have and use both. The m12 rocket light doesn't give as much light as the m18's but it's way smaller and easier to store/transport.

Great find —- will return my rocket light that I bought last month without any batteries — really a great deal.

That (6.0 Ah) was the first thing I noticed as well. I was reluctant to pull the trigger before (due to two commonly mentioned issues: 58 in. spot friction hold + battery removal difficulty) but free 6.0 Ah battery made it easier ... since you can also use the XC 6.0 with other power-hungry M12 tools (i.e. Stubby, Inflator, Die Grinder).

I bought this with the 4.0ah deal and have been so happy with it. Just bought it again. Don't fear the friction locks. I think that's been overblown by people. Just pull the light all the way up. Mine actually clicks and holds strong. Thanks for posting!

If you didn't crack open the battery yet, buy this one and return the unopened 4ah + new unopened light once it arrives. That's what I'm going to do.

Unfortunately that ship has already sailed, but I do like the light!

...but of course, at the rate I've been buying Milwaukee recently, I can probably assume that I will soon have another 4.0, LOL.

I "hacked" it twice last year and returned the light and kept the 6.0s. Might just keep the light this time and return the 6.0 or not

But if you are going for the light then you gotta keep the 6.0 cuz you will definitely want the 6.0 since light will use up the battery quickly
