All of these Infinity Reference speakers are on sale again!! I think these are some of the lowest price I have seen! I have all of them except for the tower and subs and they are so awesome, crystal clear sound. They are also certified wife annoy able, lol!
R263s have been $199/ea in past sales, otherwise these all match the lowest prices I can recall. Over the course of a few sales I've picked up the R263s, RC263, and R162s to fill out a 5.1 system (with HSU sub). For the price I've been extremely happy.
Yes, the RC263 is worth the extra $50 and is a steal at $150. Make sure it fits as it's a big center.
Yes. Just finished a theater basement remodel. Came from a Jamo setup to the R263/RC263/R162s and the difference in sound is night and day.
They are aesthetically pleasing too. Here's my setup
The measurements bore out that they trump a lot of mid level speakers, especially the RC263. Aesthetically however its not gonna win any awards.
The Wife Approval Factor is also rather quite poor.
^ Everything he said. Though you have to admit, very few mid-level and no entry-level speakers are built using this[crutchfieldonline.com] quality and construction.
Does anyone have their RC263 mounted? I think this is the route I want to take, right into the studs that are mounting the TV above. Looking for mount suggestions

Mine was OK once I put on the grill, hung the TV on the wall and found a nice cabinet and put the RC263 on top of it.
If you put it inside a cabinet it would even be better, as it will be challenging to notice its huge size.

There is no mounting provisions on the back of the RC263. Something like this may be in your future.

Any recommendations on four good value two way circular in-ceiling surround speakers?
I highly recommend the RSL c34e ceiling speakers. They are a frigging amazing value for the price! Not technically value-priced ($500 total for 4), however, you probably won't get a better bang for your buck. I have 4 of these in the ceiling and they sound great. https://rslspeakers.com/c34e-ceiling-speaker/
Just to share my experience. After much reading, I ordered the RC263, 2x R253s, and an R-12 on Tuesday to replace my 12-year old HTIB speakers. They arrived on Thursday—I was shocked how quickly they were shipped and delivered. The R-12 box basically had a whole corner torn off of it, and one of the R253 boxes had a big tear in the side where something had hit it. Surprisingly, neither had any damage, and all pieces were in pristine condition. These speakers are heavy, well-built, and extremely large. The center is huge as described by others; I mean, cost me some capital with my wife when she saw the box and asked me what the heck it was. I'm using an Onkyo TX-NR686 receiver. After calibration and some adjustment, the sound is amazing (my primary usage is home theater, not music). I'm extremely pleased with this setup, and grateful that I caught this sale from SD. I have a 65" Sony TV that I mounted on a stand on top of my entertainment console. Fortunately, it was super easy to raise my TV a few extra inches to accommodate the monster RC263. Link below to the stand that I'm using and highly recommend. It has plenty of room to provide the clearance needed for the center, and is very stable.

What type of calibration did you do? Set mine up and did the audyssey set up on my denon AVR-S750H. It set the towers to large which I'm not sure if it should, I manually changed them to small. I have a sub connected. Not seeing a huge difference in sound from my old jbl satellite speakers. I feel like I'm not testing or or doing something right.

Holy crap RSL Speakers! (Rogers Sound lab) They were Gods in So Cal back in the 1970/80's. I have (showing my age) some RSL 3300 monitors in my garage. They went out of business in the 1990's? Then came back as a small boutique outfit in the last ten years or so.

Yep. The kids, or some relative, brought them back. And they're better than ever! Excellent reference speakers for solid prices. Their speedwoofers can't be beat either at that price point.
I finally upgraded my Monitor 50's and bought R263s and the matching RC263. Ordered on Feb 3rd and arrived on Feb 9th.
Big is an understatement. The center alone dwarfs my Sony receiver.
The huge cylinder in the corner is an old SVS 25-31CS powered by a plate amp I put in a wood storage box lol. I also have a Jamo J12 I purchased last year when it was posted here in SD.

This is what I had in mind, I like the lip on the front for security. Did you have enough room for banana plugs on the back?
I can't remember where it was but one of my speakers showed a manufacturer date of 2018 or 2019. It seems like they are still producing them.

-3db point is at 29Hz as written in the specs, so not a whole lot of output below 30z.
For the sale price, its a good value. I would probably position this slightly above Dayton Sub1200 in performance
