For xbox or ps5 wouldn't you need 2.1

For Xbox or PS5 you'd want 4K 16:9 ratio 3840x2160, not this ultrawide 21:9 ratio 3440x1440. Even if it had HDMI 2.1, I definitely would not recommend this as consoles don't support this size/resolution.

TLDR: this monitor is always on sale at this price. go for another brand at this same price, i promise its brighter with the same panel
i bought this same monitor for the same price 6+ months ago. its a great monitor. but damn near every other 34x14 144hz monitor in this price range has the same beautiful VA panel but with BRIGHTER backlights. ive tested this monitor, best it can do is around 250nits. reallllllly low.

ps5 doesn't support ultrawide resolutions at all. if I'm not mistaken....the ps4 doesn't even support 1440p. its 720,900,1080,and 4k only on ps5 i believe

Do you have any specific models to recommend?

Also, CCC shows that this is the second lowest price it has ever been on Amazon [urlhasbeenblocked]. Granted, we aren't talking about large differences here, but it does seem to be lower than usual.

Honestly, the best thing about this monitor is the PBP mode.

If you don't need it, you don't need this monitor.

For work I need the PBP and two inputs so it fulfilled that need.

EDIT:
So below you'll see a bunch of people not having problem with GSYNC on their machines. I did have a problem, but looks like it might be card dependent. I have a 1070 ti that this monitor didn't play nice with, but is working with the 1080ti with the update posted below for the nvidia 1.3/1.4 dp firmware update.

I had the black screen flickering or the screen would turn off and on, on me when I had the adaptive sync turned on. I even had the issue where I wouldn't see my POST/Boot up screen when turning on my computer when using dp1.4 cables; it would boot straight to the login screen of windows. I tried all the "fixes" everyone mentioned, like CRU, dp1.4 vesa certified cables, drivers, etc. I was using a 1070 at the time and kept searching because I couldn't give up not being able to use a feature the monitor offered. Eventually I ran into a post somewhere, where they mentioned flashing the video card to support displayport cables. Flashed it and all of a sudden it fixed all the issues I had that most people were complaining about. Been using the monitor since and its been good. I will agree that it seems not as bright as other monitors but I haven't experienced to many monitors but so far so good for me.

This is the program I used to flash my gpu:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/

Not sure if links are allowed. Just google nvidia displayport flash

Yeah I tried this but my card was already updated and it didn't fix my issues.

I guess it's YMMV then. That being said, I play fps and I drive my frames above 144 so I don't go into adaptive sync ever, so it's not as much of an issue for me as it is for other people.

I've been running this with my EVGA 2070s since August and haven't had any issues with Gsync enabled.

It has good colors and works with G Sync. Although I still hope to upgrade to an IPS from this monitor for video/photo editing.

Bought this monitor about a year ago and haven't had any issues at all. Gsync works fine and I think it looks bright and amazing after calibrating (search Reddit). To me, it looks a lot better than the 4k IPS monitor that I got from AOC.
