Thank you, my series 1 has seen better days. Time to upgrade and Costco's warranty is the best.

Wow that is steep for a controller. I suppose this is geared towards the FPS competitive gamers?

Does anyone know if the buttons are still sticking or did they fix that already? I have the elite 2 and my buttons are now sticking and sometimes the button doesn't register. Luckily I bought the warranty but just wanted to see if I should expect something similar when I exchange it.

I bought one from Best Buy 3 weeks ago, brand new and the A button kept sticking. Sent it back this morning after I saw this post.

Are you referring to the shoulder buttons? If so, I was able to remove the plastic "shell", and clean the switching contacts using rubbing alcohol and compressed air. It works as good as new. Make sure to let the controller dry before reassembling, and powering on.

Not necessarily. While there are known issues, the build quality and feel of these are instantly apparent when you use it. I've gotten so used to having the rear paddles that I won't go back.

The face buttons are the ones sticking for me, especially the A and X buttons, to where now I have to use the paddles to have a more consistent response. But! I will definitely save your comment if I later have problems with the bumpers. Thanks for that

Wow, 3 weeks?! I guess I lucked out with 4 months-ish. That sucks. I bought mine at Best Buy too and good thing their GSP is no hassle on getting replacements

Good luck getting a working one. I went through three replacements and they all had buttons that would stay pressed in, and one of the triggers would start making squeaking noises and move farther than the toggle on the underside of the controller. The regular Xbox controllers have better QC.

Wouldn't buy this thing, guys. It's known to fail *a lot*. If you're a lifer with costco membership then whatever - but if you ever have a lapse in membership, this is not a good buy.

Remember, you can contact microsoft store support and add on Microsoft Complete for 3 years of protection for 19.99. TBH, its a great deal, and knowing you'll at least get 3 years out of this is a win.

The controller itself is such a pleasure to use.

If you're going to buy this controller definitely get it from Costco. The return policy is well worth it. I have already sent my Elite Series 2 controller to Microsoft for repairs twice. These things are prone to issues with the analog sticks and triggers. In fact there's a class action lawsuit.
