Yes, flat front, bought this model last year for a new house after having an older version for 6 yrs in a older house. Really liked the older version, love this newer version. Adjustable top rack, SS interior and very quiet. Bought ours last year from Costco for $550, this is a great deal, for a great DW.

Best bang for your buck by far, and additional warranty with Costco visa. , though we never had any problems with our old one and it gets used tons.

Also Costco includes free delivery, install and free power cord, drain hose and hot water supply hose- that's another $50-60 in parts value you won't get at a big box store.

We were remodeling our kitchen so I didn't have Costco install it. I YouTubed it and it was super easy to install myself.

Whirlpool bought Maytag 15 years ago. Arr you a font of useless information or just wrong about most things?

If this helps Consumer Reports see attached pdf. We just bought Bosch from Best Buy which scored really high with Consumer Reports. It too is 50 dBa but super quiet when installed.

From wirecutter - looks like a similar/same model:
The Maytag MDB4949SD was our budget pick until it was discontinued in early 2019. It was usually the cheapest dishwasher with all of the basic, must-have specs, including a stainless steel tub for relatively low noise and faster drying, nylon-coated racks for gentle handling, and a soil sensor to ensure that cycles run until they're finished. We're looking for another budget pick we can recommend in its place.

I got one over Black Friday to replace a LG and have been very happy. Just feels quality with all stainless steel and made in US. I haven't measured but feels like we're able to fit a lot more dishes vs previous models. Also had a great experience with installation which seems to be mixed in the reviews. For under 500 with Costco warranty I highly recommend.

Buying dishwasher from Costco is not recommended because they don't install, its given to a third party local company, i ended up having it in garage for more than a month before they installed finally after rescheduling installs over everyother day. Mine i ordered on oct 1 st week and got it installed on feb 1st.

Unless you order from a local appliance store, you're likely to have a third-party install. All the big box stores use them.
