I bought these and the grater element is pretty useless. I went back to my cheapo box grater after about one minute. Also, keep in mind with the rubber bottoms that you can't use these bowls as a double boiler. As the other commenter said, the lids aren't airtight dishwasher safe. Otherwise, the bowls are pretty solid.
The seals are not like Tupperware, they are good enough for some light food or marination. And the lids can get ruined in the dishwasher. These really are salad and mixing bowls, more helpful for food prep.
Buy these for the great bowls. They do get scratch marks though if you're using silverware against them. The lids aren't air tight and won't seal to prevent spills. They're more of a cover. Grater is useless and more a gimic

How do these lids seal? I have a similar set that I wanted to use as mixing bowls/bread bowls/tupperware, but the seals from the lids were so bad I gave up on the bread & tupperware idea.

So they'd be good for things like pudding where you want it sealed off

I used one today for mixing and rising focaccia bread. Seals ok although after a while the gasses in the yeast did push the lid open a little bit.

The grater is meh, it doesn't lock into the lid very well. A typical box grater works better.

Probably lower, because it says that the price might be lower in store on the item page.

Between the rubber bottom, the lid, and the grater, these are trying too hard to be too many things. Plain metal bowls from a restaurant supply store are what you want.

We got these in warehouse a few months back and they were on close out for $10 and they are a fantastic set. We don't really use the graters but the full set is nice.

no, the seal is not tight. Nice bowls, bad lids.
