Great deal with the 5.0ah battery. I have the previous gen model and love it, this one has 4K lumens (vs. 3k on mine) and I believe longer runtime. A lot of light for the dollar!

Depends on needs and how many batteries you have of each platform.

The tripod on the rocket lights is pretty great to get light set up that way.
With this one you need a place to mount.

Depends what you need it for. Are you trying to light an amphitheater? More realistically, best for a very large unlighted work area. Rocket is fantastic because of adjustable height.
