Looks like a better deal than the RTX 2060 for $1,100 from Costco. However, at this price I would greatly prefer a 17 inch laptop.

Lacks AVX-512. Not future-proof.

I don't know about future proof but I got the walmart HP omen refurb for less than $600 and it came with nearly a full HP warranty for some of us. I'm not a gamer but it was a gnarly machine for pushing media and thumberbolt 3 is a nice perk. https://slickdeals.net/f/14218409-refurbished-omen-by-hp-15-6-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-9750h-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1660-ti-6gb-16gb-ram-256gb-ssd-15-dc1058wm-644-00-walmart?v=1 EXPIRED DEAL but it does run a bit warm with fan noise but my laptop cooler helps. I think it has enough power to overcome some of the HP bloatware, some of it is really handy.

When the hinges are brought closer to the center, doesn't it make it weaker and more prone to break?

Better than 2060 for 1100 so this is a fine deal
