My only gripe doesn't have to do with the pencil but with the software. I would expect writing-to-text to work a bit better but frankly the controls are not intuitive. I may just still be a n00b but it takes me much longer to write notes with the pencil than just typing them with the onscreen keyboard. One mistake and you're taking 4-5 seconds to edit and re-write one word and the person speaking has already long moved on..
I bought one open box from Best Buy back in December for $86, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered for $130 list. Even at $86, I only wrote it off for my small graphic design side biz as an expense for last year and if you're not using it to draw I can't recommend this over a generic $30 amazon one (like my wife bought and is perfectly happy with).
