Big Hue guy here but I have these in my outside fixtures on routines and are really good bulbs. I also recommend the TP-link ecosystem in general.

KL125 has 9watt, 800 lumens. KL130 has 9.5 watts at 850 lumens. Small difference. Besides that, I don't know.

Cannot tell if this is a good deal or I should just save up for the Phillips Hue?

How does the KL130 differ from the KL125 also shown as a newer model for $15?

How good is the color of this bulb as compared to the Philips or the LIFX color bulbs? If anyone has any comparative experience...

Why not get the newer model.
It's smaller and costs the same.

I've had these in my "save for later" cart for almost a year. They sit at this price quite often. I want to try them out but looking to buy at least 20 bulbs, hoping they go as low as $10-$12/ea some day.

Exactly the same here. I've been using Hue for nearly 4 years, and TP Link for over 3. Love both. TP Link is especially great with smart switches beyond the bulbs, but the bulbs are SUCH great deals!
