I've kept my eye on this lat pulldown for awhile and it's been anywhere from $389 + (Walmart has it for $500)

pre pandemic it was selling around $180

I am curious, I thought that doing pull ups is far superior to lat pull downs.

This has a lower pulley too. There's a lot more that you can do with an upper pulley than just lat pulldowns too.

I have this attachment along with the same Power Cage (810XLT). Worth it for a budget all in one. I'd still rather have a separate pull-down. Nice if you don't need to share the power rack often.
  • This attachment is secured from the back of the power cage and adds more depth to the setup (at least 5"+)
  • Two pulley attachments (top and bottom)
    • Top pulley has hooks to hold it when not in use
    • Bottom pulley, is just left lying on the ground
  • Weight plate are 1 " standard pegs
    • Includes 1" spring clips
    • I use 2" Olympic plates with 1" spring clips that work well with the pulley
    • Standard pegs on this unit are on the shorter end and are about 7" if I recall. At first, I tried buying an olympic plate sleeve adapter but they needed a minimum of 8-9" in length

True. Like tricep extensions, ab pull downs with ropes, etc. I had a cage like this a looong time ago, I wish I had the room for one but thieves are stealing catalytic converters like crazy here!?

How much depth does this add to the whole cage? It sticks out the back right?

The attachment was $390 alone. I'd say it's a good deal if you have the cage already.

The $500 from walmart was the cage and lat attachment combined, not just the pulldown

If you look at the buying options- This is for Lat pull down only- the combo with cage is $450.

It does. It's about 21.5" past the cross bar, and about 16.5" beyond the back of the cage feet.
