Can use the hack to get the 4 piece set by itself for even cheaper.

Blackhole077 explained the deal better:
Change your location to Jersey City, NJ (Holland Tunnel) and the $249 price shows up with the free 5.0 battery. So the kit works out to ~155. Pretty good deal. Ships free to home.
It seems to be location specific.

It shows $342 for me, do I need to do anything?

it's hackable. meaning, you can add the toolkit and the free battery (approx $100) and then cancel/return the free battery thus reducing the price of the kit by $100.

OP needs to reword his post to avoid people's thumb downs and misunderstanding.
The $249 is after tax and after returning the free battery (do the hack method)

I'm guessing op added 2 to cart and used the BOGO deal? I'm getting $342.xx as well with 4 tool set and 5ah battery.

nevermind, clarified above. $249 didn't include the 5ah battery. you have to return that to get the price of 249 on 4-tool set.

I'm not seeing that price at all. This kit is $199 in stores on clearance but no extra batteries. Best price was end of January when it was $199.99 and free 2.0ah battery.

Amazon is currently OOS on 5.0ah batteries but when they have them it's 269.99 for the kit with free 5.0ah.

So unless their is a zip code hack I'm not sure how to replicate this

the OP is wrong. it's really 342 before the alleged HACK... and only like 250 POST hack.. which is not necessarily a great deal considering you could have gotten the same kit post HACK around $150 a few weeks ago.

UNLESS it's the OPs specific zip code deal.

He should just change the post since that is not what the title means at all. $250 without extra battery is not a good deal, relatively speaking

Shows up as $342.51 for me (including the 5A battery). $238.68 after hacking (returning the battery) which is a mediocre deal.

Hi,

I'm sorry, it works, but this is how I found it...

I did a search in google and it showed up as $249. Was able to check out and get the free battery, which I then cancelled. Came out to $155.78 pre-tax.

The store location is Holland Tunnel. Does that work for you?

Hacked this same kit in stores a few months ago for $199. After returning the 2.0ah battery the kit becomes $137.50. The HD associate who was helping me get this kit off the shelf literally dropped his jaw, and said that at this price it was "stealing", and kept saying "wow" for, I kid you not, one minute straight. Apparently, he thought I had found the deal of the decade.
