What do you guys use this with besides lamps? I only have 1 lamp in the house and it doesn't even have a mechanical switch.

I use these for my tv, not only to turn off and on without a remote but also to schedule to turn off at night when I'm sleeping to save electricity. Also good for fans, air purifiers, Christmas lights. If you use Google home you can add it to a room and then you can ask google to turn off say the living room and it will turn everything off, Hue, Kasa, doesn't matter

Sweet these are the better 15amp, opposed to the more common 12amp. I don't think I ever use these with anything requiring more than 12amp but I always want the best. Thanks for posting!

Lol then I would pass on them if nothing plugs in. I use them in our living room wall plug lamps, bedroom lamps and I have fans in the basement I turn on for circulation now by voice rather than crawling around to plug them in.
I agree that's the biggest limiting factor- I have a 4 pack and am only using 3. Wall switches make so much more sense for overhead lights... I haven't tried wall switches yet but those run around $15/$20 a pop. I'll use these for Christmas deco's and tree around the holidays though- I think that's my best use case for sure. We have several trees and a little town we set up- use these to easily time/automate lighting them up.
From my experience- for a household that has Amazon smart devices these are spectacularly integrated and flawless! Really happy with their ease of set up, integration with Amazon environment and app, and product quality. All around Just a really great product. Highly recommend and price point is solid! Also for Amazon you don't need a smart home hub to run them... which I really like they stand alone run and are accessible from the Alexa app as well as their native app too.

Other than the more obvious voice command features, these will play very nicely with the Kasa switches I have in my walls, without having to be on the same circuit.

Example: I have a Kasa switch that controls a hallway light. I can pair that switch with one of these outlets to turn on a plug-in disco ball nightlight in that hallway when the light is switched off.

I used mine for the Christmas tree, front yard Xmas lights (extension cord to garage), and for one of my nest cameras that kept locking up and needed to be power cycled once per week. I got the camera replaced but it was handy when needed

These are only 12 amp. I don't know why it says 15, other than maybe 15 in 12 out.

I got these 12 amp ones for my lamps and fans. I took the 15 amp ones and connected then to the TVs and the desktop so that I can easily cut off all power to those setups if needed.

Smart to use that for turning off a TV. That would work well for my 720p Best Buy TV from 2010 (still kicking) since it doesn't recognize power-off commands from a Roku remote.

After buying the Amazon version for $1 with the $24 off coupon, we liked it and wanted a few more. I used the $10 off $10.01 Discover coupon and total cost was $10.99 before tax. I now have 4 smart plugs for only $12. Thanks!

They have scheduling ... so possibilities are endless. I'm using my for my hot water circulation pump. 👍

4 Pack is slightly cheaper if you need the extra one.

We purchased these a while back and have been very pleased with them.

We use them for our lights around our house and previously our fans in our garage to disperse the heat at night during hot days.

We recently used one for our Christmas tree and lights outside since there is a scheduling capability.

Currently have it connected to our Google home as well.
