These need a solid amp to get the best out of them. These also have the latest headband, which is not only much softer, more comfy but does not rely on rubber tension for clamping power, so it should be much more reliable.

Nice try at trolling. I won a pair of AirPod Max. Amazing headphones and seamless to use, I love them. They sound good but compared to my modded monoprice M1060, they can't sustain the fight especially for precision. This headphone is in another league that my cheap monoprice so I seriously doubt the AirPod max has a chance. The only way it would win is if you like the AirPod sound signature and overlook pure performance

These are better built than the v1. I had the v1 and sent mine in because the headband adjustment went bad. They gave me the v2 as a replacement. V1s were more comfortable though.

Is open back preferred for planar magnetic? The Mobius are closed back. I'm new to the world of planars...

These are in a totally different class compared to the Mobius. Make sure you can drive them though. They need a lot of power.

Open back is generally better (sound quality wise) for all over the ear headphones. Planar is no different.

Obviously it has the usual downsides as well.
