About this deal:
At the time of this posting, our research indicates that 65" LG OLED65GXPUA OLED TV 4K Smart TV + LG GX 3.1ch Dolby Atmos Soundbar is $995lower (28.5% savings) than the next best available price from reputable merchants with prices starting from $3493.98.
In my basement, where I have ample room and less concern about clutter, wires, etc. I have a dedicated 5.1.2 setup.
In my living room, which I like to keep extremely clean and orderly, I'd never want a setup like that. I have a Sonos Arc with a sub tucked away behind the couch and two Symfonisk lamps on a shelf as rears. No wired speakers, no big tower speakers or av receiver. It compliments the space nicely. And honestly, the difference between the two setups Is minimal. Atmos is better, when well utilized, on my 5.1.2 setup thanks to in Ceiling speakers. My av receiver gives me more control to get the sound I want. But from a convienance standpoint, Arc wins handily, and still sounds exceptionally good.
I agree with the opinion that someone buying a 77" OLED generally wants to have the best stuff they can get. What I challenge is that raw sound quality is the only metric that factors into being the best. Size and simplicity are a huge factor. I think the vast majority of people who can afford a $4k TV have no interest in dealing with a dedicated audio system when a soundbar over eArc will work as seamlessly as the TVs built in speakers.
Not everyone has room for or wants a full surround system taking up space in their room. A 3.1 system with no satellites is pretty non intrusive in a room.
Built in TV speakers are notoriously horrible. Not that a sound bar is great, but it's much better than built in speakers

Soundbar sells $999 but it sure doesn't seem worth that.
People seem to believe that ATOMS can break the laws of physics and increase the range/power of drivers. It is not entirely their fault, the industry has done its best to make them believe so.
77 inch Tv alone is $3296 with $400.gc. or you can go thru GT for less or call buydig and ask form GT dept and they will give you a better deal for just the tv.
