Look for a compressor instead.
I have had this generator for about 2 years and it works well. I use it with propane which kicks down the output but it still runs the basic needs of a 2500 sq ft house. It has saved me 4 times already. Paid about the same for mine.

Great generator that keeps my 2,000 sq ft home alive. I installed a manual transfer switch.

How loud is it? Also do you guys run computers/tv's with it? I'm debating getting one of these instead of the expensive inverter types.

Supposedly this has a very low THD (~5%) so it should be good for electronics. Can't speak from first hand experience yet though.

Does that mean this price is typical?

This generator has been $799 on and off for the past 8 months. It doesn't look like a bad deal, I'd just prefer something that takes natural gas

Where do you find that info? I'm interested if the THD is low. TIA
