I really don't want the one with key at all. If there is a key, there is a way to pick it.

Off topic but related to this. I want to get smart lock like this as I have Schlage with keypad but my door sometimes stick sometimes doesn't. Basically if door isn't lock it opens a little and I have noticed the locking mechanism sometimes doesn't come out all the way. Is there a fix for this or will new lock like this solve my problem.
I just fixed my front door with similar issue, here are 2 things that are probably causing the problem:
1. Hinge screws are loose, I noticed some screws on the top hinges are loose probably due to gravity so I took them all out and replaced with #8 2.5" wood screws, if I could do it over again, I would go with #10 2.5" wood screws. The ones that came with the door were like 1 inch. While screwing in, make sure you are lifting the door up because it will definitely angle down even after screwing.

2. Even after replacing hinge screws it was still bad, due to the thick weather stripping. What I had to do was use a wood chisel to move both strike plates farther out. Also replaced those screws. After that, the deadbolt was so easy/loose my wife thought it's broken.

New version is out, with build-in WiFi and fingerprint, I'm struggling which one to get

eufy Security Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi, Fingerprint Scanner, Keyless Entry Door Lock, Smart Wi-Fi Lock, Bluetooth Electronic Deadbolt, Touchscreen Keypad, BHMA Certified, IP65 Weatherproofing

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P75D...UTF8&psc=1 [amazon.com]

Seriously Eufy? You already have another 'new'' version? I just got the preorder version wuth wifi Bridge in January!
I love the lock and it works fine in extreme cold with our fingerprints. My one knock is it seems like Eufy rushes stuff out without thinking about future integration.
Examples being a month old lock that had to have a separate wifi bridge, now not needing a wifi bridge a month later. Or a Homebase 2 which somehow lost the ability to have expandable storage when Homebase 1 had it. Coming soon! Sure....

Im sure new cameras will come with Homebase 3 that will need a wifi bridge to do something, followed by Homebase 3 with no wifi bridge needed a month later.
Slow......down.

Eufy is so close to hitting it out of the park with their stuff. A Homebase that can store from multi devices to some form of expansible memory would be killer. Imagine Doorbell, Multi Cameras, a Lock, whatever else you have from Eufy, all talking to the same device and storing. I thought about getting a second lock for the backdoor. I canceled that thinking once I found out from support I would have to have a second wifi bridge. The 2 locks couldnt use the same bridge. Insane.

I'll see the lock if its broken first or mechanism is just not sliding in and out easily.

Yeah, that's always another thing that could be happening, maybe just needs some good ole grease

The Eufy locks are pretty solid and capable. I use the fingerprint BT one on my backdoor and the wifi fingerprint one on my front door. Both work great, even my 6 & 11 yr old kids use the fingerprint without issue. The locks are kinda big, but very robust in their build quality. My front door is a newer fiberglass door with a solid metal door frame (zero issues), smooth like butter. My back door is a steel set of french doors... They used to require a little "push" when seating the deadbolt. When I installed the Eufy lock, I actually bent the strike plate a little towards the outside of the door and placed a little wooden dowel under it, before screwing it on, so that it stayed in that angled position. Opening was still big enough for the deadbolt to engage and cured the needed push.

Does anyone with this product know the dimensions of each piece? My door has some inner molding that potentially limits what kind of lock I can install, and I can't seem to find that info anywhere.

Just curious, do people use this for front doors? What's the main area people use these for? I've been looking at smart locks for a bit but I'm still a noob
main door, back door, side doors. mainly for doors.

I know this is widely recommended but I've had mine a couple months and I'm not thrilled with it. First, it's dang cold in the north and when my fingers are cold it doesn't read my print. Next, it was unlocking on its own in the middle of the night. I see many people have a good experience with Eufy customer service but, I personally did not. Now today I tried to unlock it to go out and the dial wouldn't budge! I had to get my phone and open the app to get out of the house. I'm starting to miss my plain old key and lock.

Thanks.

I'm curious to see if anyone thinks there are better deals/products than this Eufy. I'm specifically looking for something that has both WiFi/Google Home integration as well as a fingerprint sensor. Would Eufy for $220 be a good deal or are there other options worth considering?

I cant find eufy Wi-Fi Bridge (sold separately for some eufy models)... Any suggestions? Where can this be found and what is approximate price for it?

Trying to start with this:
Fingerprint non-wifi version - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0869MGCR4
and then maybe upgrade if I ever do.

Thinking of getting the non-wifi fingerprint version since they sell the bridge separately. What is the real benefit of the wifi capability other than being able to configure the lock outside of the BT radius?

What does the Wi-fi bridge do? The features say you can use bluetooth to unlock the door.

It's very odd to scroll past a deal that you definitely didn't give a TU to, and yet it's somehow still selected.
