Save 13$ on "AUKEY Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Clicky Blue Switches & LED Backlight, 104-Key Anti-Ghosting Wired Mechanical Keyboard with Macro Recording & Ergonomic Design for PC and Laptop"

Instructions:
First Clip Coupon for $5.00 off.
Then apply code AWER7KJX for 20% off ($8 off) either by Extra Savings -> Redeem on the store page or by applying the code at checkout.

Normal Price: $39.99
With Discount: $26.99

Relevant Info from Amazon:
Model: KM-G16
Number of Keys: 104
Backlit: LED
Keyboard Layout: ANSI
Keycap Material: ABS
Key Switch Type: AUKEY Blue
Actuator Travel: 4mm
Actuation Force: 50cN ±10cN

My take: We all know what gaming means here - clicky keyboards with strobe lights strapped on. It is nice to have each key lit, even if each one is a solid (or strobe light...) unchangeable color. The thing is cheap enough for a spare backlit mechanical keyboard and is a good enough excuse for me to try out blue switches.

Go to Best Buy and check out the gaming keyboards there. Their displays have different key types, so you can try them out and get the feel of them.

My personal experience:
Red switches - I use one for my work machine. I don't need the feedback for typing in emails, etc...
Brown switches - my personal favorite, especially for gaming. The feedback feels natural.
Blue switches - same feel as the browns, but the audible click annoys me.

The Outemu switches that were in the Aukey keyboards before had many comments on being very loud, even for blues. Not sure what their current crop of switches are like. But if you have others around, it's usually safer to keep away from blues (unless you don't like your neighbors).
Sorry I messed up and double submitted, I'm a noob and am trying to figure out how to delete.

Amazon has free returns. Everyone is going to have their own opinion on it. I like brown and blue but not so much the red switches. Every company's switch is different. Trial and error. If you like the sound of typewriters then go for the blue. Is it for ur home office or for ur cubicle? Lots of questions. I have the higher end of this version and I like it. The build quality is great but we will see about longevity.

Waiting for a deal on the non-clicky ones! I want to put it on our home pc to try to introduce them to the fam, but pretty sure the blues would drive my wife nuts lol

Cheap Chinese clones of Cherry switches. Still a lot more complex than rubber domes, but I've seen mech keyboards on sale for around $20 in the past couple of years.

If you want the ultimate mechanical keyboard and don't care about gaming, check out an IBM or Unicomp Model M.

Bought this last week as my first mechanical keyboard, used mostly for typing. I really like the feel...but one of the keys barely works out of the box, so it's going back. QC is clearly an issue.
