I know this isn't the best of a deal but down here in Texas a lot of people were wanting something small to power basic items. This was the cheapest I could find at $199 this was fp at $150 but just posting this for some people who want to get prepared and find a good cheap inverter generator.

So, 115 x 1.7= 195.5 watts
I have one. Its a 4 stroke motor. Pretty quiet. Word of caution for long term durability with all of these Chinese engines. Change the oil several times in the first hr of operation. When you see what comes out then youll know why.

Check me, but Watts = Volts * Amps. Surge watts can be estimated at about 2 times running watts. The freezer is 115v * 1.7amp = 195.5 running watts. Surge watts would be close to 400. Should be more than enough to power it.

Personally, I have not had luck with traditional Sportsman generators. Maybe this inverter type is better.
