Is this better than Eufy camera? Do they serve different purposes? Thanks.
They serve similar purposes but come from different ends. These DVR systems are basically the tried and true security systems for monitoring and recording many cameras across a property. The Eufy/Ring/Nest cameras are basically the "tech" companies trying to expand their ecosystems from voice assistants, temperature control, and smart doorbells to "home security".
The Eufy/Ring/Nest systems IMHO are worse - they are less scalable and will give you limited features, trying to get you to pay a subscription fee as they work out how to cross-sell you more things on their ecosystems.
However, the traditional NVR systems are not as user friendly and are mostly all hard-wired (hard wiring is generally a good thing especially with many cameras, but if you don't have wiring in place a wifi camera is a lot easier). As the japjoe7 notes, this particular version uses BNC connections, which means it uses coax cables - this is older technology (newer systems use IP cameras and ethernet cables).
If you only need a few cameras, I would recommend going with Eufy (they seem to offer the most features without a subscription). If you need more cameras, I would consider one of these NVR systems.
