You could do the same with a bowl and some chia seeds and some plastic junk furniture.

Got a different model of this same product. The soil mix seemed to be pretty bad and was difficult to maintain the right moisture level in such a shallow planter. We got some grasses and what looked like pea sprouts to grow for a while but everything slowly died before anything flowered. You'd probably be better off using your own soil and seed mix if you do like the bones of this product.
