Great mic. Not necessarily the gold standard at any one thing (stereo, cardioid, etc) but offers very satisfying versions of each for versatility.

It's the default variety mic for good reason across various content creation spaces. For the price and experimenting, this is a great way to easily access multiple recording styles. If you know you only need music, podcasts, streaming etc... then I'd look up options specific to those things. But for multipurpose, it is hard to beat at this price.

I "ghost" host a local radio program from my home studio. The station gave me a broadcast RODE and I used it for a while. I had a chance to pick up a Blue Yeti from a friend who bought it and waited too long to return it. All I can say is that it's an awesome mic, engineer at the station told me it sounds so much better. So, it's a permanent fixture here and the RODE went back to the AM station. You mentioned Elgato, I use one of their Stream Deck products in my studio. Cheap and gets the job done Smilie

Depends on your purposes. Some prefer Elgato for speaking during streams, but it's hard to go wrong with Blue Yeti if you aren't sure or might try a few styles of recording.
